Admitted Students

Congratulations on being accepted to North Central!

We can’t wait for you to join our tight-knit community of committed, passionate Christ-followers. Here are a few steps you can take to save your spot at North Central and be prepared when you get to campus.

Step 1 – Set up your Skyline account

Now that you’ve been accepted to NCU, you have access to information that’s exclusively for our internal community.

How to Login

First, visit login.zqnaifen.com. Select “First Time User,” and enter your username, student ID#, and personal email information. This information can be found in your acceptance letter. Follow the prompts to activate your account and create your password.

Once logged into Skyline, you will see a link to your student email on the upper right corner of the page. All communication about finances and awards will be sent to this email address. Your student email will most likely be your firstname.lastname@mail.zqnaifen.com. Check this email at least once a week so you don’t miss out on important info!

Step 2 – Pay Enrollment Deposit

The enrollment deposit unlocks housing and class registration as well as saves your space at North Central! You will be asked to login securely with your Skyline credentials. Once logged in, select the “Deposits” tab, choose “Enrollment Deposit, and process payment.

Step 3 – Get your finances ready ASAP

Go to http://studentaid.gov/fafsa.ed.gov to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid as soon as possible.

Learn more about the steps for applying for aid and accepting your awards.

Step 4 – Apply for housing ASAP

After you’re accepted, you’ll need to tell us your plans for housing during the semester. This includes applying to live in the residence halls, campus apartments, or off-campus as a commuter. Check out your housing options.

All housing is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so we recommend that you apply for housing right after you’re accepted.

You’ll need your student username and password in order to apply for housing. This information is included on your acceptance letter, and the credentials are the same that allow you access to Skyline. If you lost or forgot your login info, feel free to contact your Admissions Counselor.

Meal Plan

If you are planning on living in a residence hall on campus, you will need to set up your meal plan as well. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are Monday through Friday. Brunch and dinner are served on Saturday and Sunday.

Meal plan options:

  • 18 meals per week – $2,030 per semester
  • 14 meals per week – $1,955 per semester

*Meal plan costs are subject to change. Please check with your admissions counselor for the most up-to-date pricing.

Step 5 – View your course registration

For your first semester at NCU, a registration advisor from the Registrar’s Office will be creating your class schedule.

If you’re interested in getting a jump-start on your four-year course plan, login to Skyline and visit the “Colleague Corner” on the homepage. You can refer to the Major Specific Registration Guide for an overview of your classes in each major.

If you have completed your deposit before April 1, your will qualify for priority registration in early April.

If you complete your deposit after April 1, you will be registered for classes later in April.

Please be checking your student email for any important communication from the Registrar’s Office regarding class registration.

Contact the Registrar’s Office with any questions that you have about registration.

*For important academic dates, download our academic calendar.

Step 6 – Register for summer orientation, June 7 or June 14

Summer orientation is required for all new students. Attend orientation on either June 7 or June 14 to complete items that will prepare you for move in day in August.

Register for your summer orientation by June 1 .

Step 7 – Create your financial plan by June

Your billing statement will be sent to you in early June. This is a great time to put together a financial plan for how you will pay your student bill in your first year, and until you graduate.

Payment of your student bill is due August 15.

*If you have any questions, give your admissions counselor a call at 800.289.6222 or 612.343.4460 and they will be happy to help.

Step 8 – Apply for parking (optional)

Parking runs on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, if you plan on bringing a car you will want to take care of this as early as possible. You can view our parking guide here for more information.

  • Student resident on-campus parking, available for $300/semester
  • Student resident Lot K only, available for $175/semester
  • Student non-resident commuter/PSEO parking, available for $80/semester
  • Student motorcycle parking, available for $175/semester
  • Bicycle parking, available for purchase in the security office for $15/school year. All bikes must have a bike lock.
  • Student resident Minneapolis street parking, available for $25 for an August to August permit (issues by the city of Minneapolis, moderated by NCU).

Apply for parking online.

Step 9 – Complete and submit your health form by July 31

Minnesota Law (M.S. 135A.14) requires proof that all students born after 1956 are vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, and rubella. The health form (pdf) must be completed and signed prior to beginning your first semester at NCU.

The form is very simple. Just write your name at the top and then fill out Part one if you are from MN, fill out Part two if you are transferring, or fill out Part three if you graduated from high school in a state other than MN. There is no need for a doctor’s signature unless you want to file a medical exemption. Once you have finished, simply bring your form to your Summer orientation day.

Step 10 – Submit your final high school transcripts by July 1

After you have graduated from high school, you must send North Central your official high school transcript. It must include your final grades and graduation date.

*Talk to your high school counselor about having an official transcript sent to NCU, or use our official transcript request form.

Step 11 – Get ready for welcome week!

Welcome Week is your official start to your life at North Central. We’ll welcome you to campus, help you get settled, and introduce you to our community. We can’t wait to see you!
